Version 1.2 · in effect from 2026-08-29. Short version: we are curious about how many people visit us and which ads work — not about who you are. Everything beyond the necessary requires your consent.
OakStride AB, Stockholm, is the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: info@oakstride.se.
When you visit oakstride.se we record that a page was viewed: which page, when, and which site you may have arrived from. This measurement happens without a cookie as long as you have not accepted the statistics cookie below, and we store no IP address — nothing can then be linked to you as a person. Your IP reaches our server in the request itself, as it does on any website you visit; it is not written down. The data is stored in our own database within the EU, is not passed on to anyone else, and is kept for at most 24 months.
This section covers our own measurement only. Advertising cookies are described further down and always require your active consent.
In the banner shown you choose category by category. Nothing is set before you choose, and you can change your mind at any time further down this page.
If we fail to record your consent on our side, your browser stores one line with a timestamp and an error code under the name oak_consent_fel. It contains no information about you, never leaves your device, and exists only so we can find out what happened if you get in touch. You can clear it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
If you accept marketing we load Google Ads, so we can see which ads actually lead to an enquiry. The following then applies, and it should be said plainly:
If you decline, Google Ads is never loaded. This is not a setting that switches off parts of something already running — the script is simply not placed on the page.
One thing happens regardless of what you choose, and it belongs here: the page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore contacts Google on every page view, and Google sees your IP address — even if you declined everything. It is not a cookie and is not part of the ad measurement, but it does mean that declining above does not mean Google never hears from us. We mention it because the opposite would be easy to assume.
The legal basis is your consent. We keep a log of when consent was given and which policy version applied.
Policy changed on 29 August 2026. The previous version stated that no advertising or third-party cookies were used on the site. That is no longer true, and consents given under the old text therefore no longer apply: if you chose earlier you will be asked again, and marketing stays off until you actively accept. An old yes to something else is not a yes to this.
If you email or call us we process your contact details and your message in order to reply and follow up — nothing else. The data is kept for as long as the conversation is current.
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to processing and to withdraw consent. Get in touch at info@oakstride.se and we will help you. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
You can open the cookie banner at any time and adjust which categories you accept:
You can also withdraw your consent entirely — the cookie is deleted immediately and measurement becomes anonymous again:
Done — the cookie is deleted and your choice saved.
The customer portal uses only the technical storage entries required to keep you signed in — no statistics or marketing cookies. The ad measurement described above applies to oakstride.se, not the portal.
